Tell us about your background in Physiotherapy.
I graduated with a physiotherapy degree from University of Delhi (Amar Jyoti Institute of Physiotherapy) and later attained my Masters in Musculoskeletal and Sports Physiotherapy from Central University (Jamia Millia Islamia). Since then, I worked at a sports specialist clinic in Delhi and later for a year I worked with CRPF (Central Reserve Police Force) Sports Team as a Sports Physiotherapist.
What are your interests?
I love sports, being a black belt in Tae Kwun Do, I also love to play volleyball, handball and badminton. I love to exercise as it brings me positive energy. I have a particular interest to travel and learn new skills.
Tell us about a life-changing experience or adventure you’ve been on.
Nothing is more adventurous than being a team physiotherapist for 8 different teams over a range of sports disciplines at CRPF. It was challenging yet an interesting opportunity to show my skills and manage them all at the same time. It was a wonderful experience and created an everlasting bond with my players.
What is your area of expertise?
Every individual is different so my approach is very much catered to the individual and my area of expertise includes manual therapy alongside evidence based practice. I am a certified kineso taping practitioner and have keen interests in sports and musculoskeletal injuries, pre-and post ACL rehabilitation and Bankart repair Rehab.
What is the most fulfilling part of the job?
I feel a great sense of self-satisfaction after helping people with their pain and return to their normal lifestyle. Come to think of it, it’s like ‘adding life’ to their years and smiles to their faces. It’s the best feeling when they come to you with pain and go back smiling. We can change their life and give meaning to ours.
